Pramono Affirms There Are No New Odd-Even Traffic Regulations in Jakarta

The Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, clarified information circulating in the community and on social media regarding changes to the odd-even vehicle restriction rules in Jakarta.

No new regulations

Pramono emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government has not issued any new regulations regarding this matter. The current regulations still refer to Gubernatorial Regulation No. 88 of 2019.

"The first is the odd-even system. According to Gubernatorial Regulation No. 88 of 2019, there are actually no new regulations regarding the odd-even system," said Pramono, Friday (6/26).

In addition, he also confirmed that there are no new regulations regarding odd-even vehicle restrictions at 28 access points to and from the toll gates.

"And now, in the public and in the media, it seems as if there are new rules, when in fact, there are none. Including 28 on-ramp and off-ramp access points at toll gates," he added.

Pramono continued that this policy has been implemented to regulate traffic density during rush hours.

"So there are no new rules relating to odd-even," he stated.
